Sydicate19 Chronicle ~ Volume 1, Issue 1
Syndicate19 has been doing a lot of coming and going lately. It struck me that someone should be logging these events, so I have taken on the task of keeping the Sydicate19 “journal” up to date. Hopefully, these weekly postings will help everyone stay connected.
The Green Room
Syndicate19 ended the month of January at the Green Room in Sanford, Maine. None of the band members had ever been there, let alone performed there, so they had no idea what to expect. They found a good crowd of various age groups, all of whom appeared anxious to hear something new. S19 satisfied the audience with their eclectic mix of covers from multiple genres, and seduced them with their originals. During the first set, many heads were bobbing, but only a few people got up to shake a leg. However, by the end of the night the dance floor was hoppin’!
Joe, the owner, was also quite pleased and ready to book several more shows with Syndicate19. They seem to be a breath of fresh air from all of the indistinguishable, classic rock bands in the area. S19 is a good fit for a club owner who is trying new things to stand out from all the other bars.
The Green Room has plenty of pool tables, some comfy seating and a great dance floor. They also have a good size stage and tall ceilings, which was perfect for the light show. I only wish that they had more than one toilet for the ladies.
Toilets or not, Syndicate19 and crew had a great time and can’t wait to play there again!
Side Notes
January was a pretty productive month for S19. In between all their shows, they managed to record a song, create a logo and order stickers. The stickers will be available at the next gig, which is at the Post Road Tavern in Ogunquit. The last time S19 played there the place was packed and everyone had a splendiferous night!
