Syndicate19 Chronicle ~ Volume 1, Issue 12

The Summer has flown by for Syndicate19. The guys tirelessly played at least one show a week, sometimes three in two days, all over the map.

They began July at Biddy Mulligan’s in Dover. They celebrated the Fourth, with their first gig at Cuddy’s in Brunswick. On Sunday they jammed with friends (Kuato, Honky Gabacho and Death Among Thieves) at Dickstock in Kittery.

The following weekend they played at Club 302 in Windham, letting birthday boy, Jamie Irish, sing a coulple of songs with them. The next night they had a great show with an awesome band called White Rabbit at the Stone Church in Newmarket, NH.

On Friday the 17th, Syndicate19 rocked a full house at Brian Boru’s in Portland. Saturday night, we celebrated Leigh’s birthday at our local watering hole, Post Road Tavern. The show included a guest appearance by Cassidy Bisson. The post-show-party lasted well into the daylight hours.

We ended the month with a trip into the northern woods. The band rocked back-to-back nights at Shin Pond Pub in Patten, Maine, with a performance in between at the Vacationland Estates anniversary party in Island Falls, Maine.

On August 13th, Paul and Leigh ran sound for the Spose show at Post Road Tavern. Friday they played at City Limits in Sanford. Saturday afternoon they performed at a benefit for Miss Molly, alongside Tether and A Fire Anthem. That night they performed for another energetic crowd at Brian Boru’s in Portland.

They were back in Portland the following weekend for an awesome show at the Flask Lounge.

They celebrated the end of Summer at Brethauer Fest, sharing the stage with Honky Gabacho, Rachel and Kuato.

The non-stop gigging the past several months has paid off. They recently purchased some new equipment, and they are eager to put it to use. So far, Autumn has been just as busy, but the guys are looking forward to things slowing down enough this winter to record a new album.

Syndicate19 also managed to make it through the entire summer as a three-piece. Mike Tomasini’s hand has been slow to heal, and other personal events have led to his decision to leave the band. Although, he is missed, we understand and wish him the best. He played a key role in the creation of what is Syndicate19.
